Advisors On Air

Postby Jim_VE3NWN » Thu Mar 19, 2015 4:20 pm

I tried to qso with Joe, N3HEE Wed evening but no go. I heard him through the heavy QRN & QSB but he could not hear me. My vertical sucks. Working on a homemade G5RV and hoping it will get through better.
Will try again this evening at 9pm local time on 7.035 +/-
This Advisors-On-Air idea is super for struggling CW ops like me.

I also simulcasted my on air activities last night using Google Hangouts. I was experimenting with Hangouts for the first time. See the video here.

Was very interesting listening to my qso with Joe N3HEE on Google Hangouts.
I learned that my CW is okay for copying, but a little slow.

That was my intention for recording the sessions. It is a great learning and feedback tool.
